The Centre has recently renamed its Disability Discrimination Legal Service, to the Discrimination and Human Rights Legal Service. In addition to providing all the same disability discrimination work previously undertaken by its former Disability Discrimination Legal Service, the Discrimination and Human Rights Legal Service also provides legal services, to people who have been treated unfairly, for example because of their age, family responsibilities, gender identity, race, relationship status, religious beliefs, sexuality; or association to someone of a particular attribute. Additionally, work in relation to the recently passed Human Rights Act (Qld) will also feature as part of the work undertaken by this service.
