Consumer Law Service

 

The Consumer Law Service (CLS) is operated by the Cairns Community Legal Centre Inc.

 

 

The CLS provides legal advice work to consumers in relation to consumer credit, consumer product disputes, consumer service disputes, consumer debt matters, bankruptcy and other consumer law matters.  Matters may involve insurance companies, brokers, banks or other financial institutions, superannuation trustees, tele-communication providers, second hand car or other dealers, sellers of other consumer goods and services.

 

 

The CLS provides legal advice work to socially or financially disadvantaged members of the community who live or work in Far North Queensland.

 

 

Free face to face legal advice is provided (by appointment only) by the CLS at the location listed below. Where necessary, by reason of distance or otherwise, telephone advice can also be provided (where appropriate) via the Centre’s Cairns office by prior arrangement.

 

 

Free face to face legal advice is carried out by the CLS at:

  • At the Centre's office at 1st Floor Main Street Arcade, 85 Lake St Cairns.
  • Every Monday and Thursday during normal office hours.
